Atomic Heart is a runway for my literary experiments. It's an audio blog /podcast / radio show where I present my original poetry and poems written by those I admire. The show airs weekly on the Canadian station CFMS 105.9 FM where I insert a mixtape into the spoken content. It's also available as a podcast on Apple, Spotify, and various platforms. The radio element was incorporated at the start of 2024 amidst an unplanned longstay in Toronto, a city I still call home. I produce the show in Hong Kong where the urban fabric and Cantonese language inform my curation.

Atomic Heart was first launched in 2013 as a radio show for the community station CIUT 89.5 FM. It presented as a mixbag of random bits of content from Hong Kong's indie music and literary scenes. The project morphed into a poetry podcast at the start of 2020, shortly after I moved into Mei Ho House. The show went on hiatus in March 2023 following its 100th episode, but now it's back, with a new format for the start of 2025. Scroll down for more on my love affair with radio.

1) The original 89.5 FM headquarter on St George Street in Toronto where I launched my broadcasting career in 2009 with squirrels in the attic. 2) The old-school panel with tape decks. 3) Before the house was demolished. 4) Final gig before I flew to Hong Kong. 5) Sanitized equipment funded by the government. 6) Podcast launched in 2020 at my studio in MHH. 7) Love FM at Kego Park, one day, perhaps. 8) The reload at The Region 105.9 FM. I had wanted to be a radio DJ before I wanted to be a writer. Here’s my profile on RTHK Radio 3
