Atomic Heart is an intimate mix of poetry and indie sounds from the Hong Kong experience. Presented in English and Cantonese, the show airs weekly on the Canadian station CFMS 105.9 FM. I launched this in January 2024 amidst an unplanned long-stay in Toronto, a city I still call home.
The show is developed from an audio blog also titled Atomic Heart, where I experimented with a reflective monologue in an attempt to land closer to the concept of radio as theatre of the imagination.
Launched in 2013 as a radio ragbag on Hong Kong's indie music and literary scenes, the project morphed into a podcast in 2020. It marked its 100th episode in March 2023 and has been on hiatus since.
